Located on the slopes of the old borgo of Ottiglio and can be easily reached by car via the A26 motorway from the Casale Sud exit (21 km).
A charming old residence stands at the foot of the town of Ottiglio, in the heart of the Monferrato, declared Unesco World Heritage Site, where time seems to have stood still. This is Villa Ottiglia, built in the 16th century by the noble family of the same name from Milan, as certified in the historical papers of the Ottiglio archive. Over the course of the centuries the house was also inhabited by the Viceroy of Sardinia, Cavaliere Montiglio di Ottiglio, then was donated to the curia of Casale Monferrato which designated it as a parochial residence in the last century. The house has recently been restored under constraint of the Superintendence of Fine Arts of Turin, respecting the standards and adapting it to contemporary use.
