Day 1/2 – 23/24 October, Vik Galleria in Milan.
What can you say, a hotel that is internal to the famous Galleria, with the Duomo on the door step. Can be a bit noisy as the Galleria is very popular even late at night and voices echo in this remarkable space.
We have stopped in Milan before as a way to get over jetlag but also because there is lots of good food and of course shopping.

The Vik Galleria is a special Hotel, full of art works and character. This is a limited addition Rodin copy in the foyer of the hotel.

Next time we will order 2 entrees and 1 cotoletta !!!!
Day 3/4 – 25/26 October, Moneglia on the Ligurian coast.
The small family hotel offers a great stepping off point to the Cinque Terre, the station is just 200m from the hotel.
The hotel’s main restaurant has a 1 star Michelin – bit exy but we loved their casual bistro with traditional local food.
Had a lovely Cinque Terre Vermentino wine
Day 3/4 – 25/26 October, Moneglia on the Ligurian coast.
End of season in a coastal town means things are closing but the locals all still gather in the Bar Centrale
Day 4/5 – 27/28 October, Tuscany
We all make booking mistakes – we bailed on our 2 night booked through Booking.com, fell way short of expectations 🙂 but luckily one of my local Villa Partners found something at very short notice and broke their minimum 5 night stay rule.
This was a little one bedroom apartment, simple but comfortable and enjoyable.

Wonderful little property for 4 to 6 just on the edge of Radda in Chianti (1km).
This time of year, autumn the pool is closed but the wood fire was useful to take the chill off the air.
Even had a unique BBQ

Stunning large villa for 12 owned by the famous Ricasoli family who have been in residence in the Castello Brolio for 800 years. You are right in the middle of their vineyards so a perfect setting and the magnificent castle is nearby.
The Ricasoli Estate with cellars tours and wine tasting 2.5km also Restaurants and Castello.

A really beautifully furnished house in a small hamlet with an equally small restaurant which needs pre-booking as popular with locals and tourists alike.
Just 3km from Gaoile in Chianti, with all facilities.

Magnificent Tuscan Villas, beautiful terracotta floors and a fabulous feel about the villa.
Also has a jacuzzi with sauna room.
The 1km road in a little rough and needs to be taken slowly, so typical of many of these Tuscan Properties.
